now my computer screen
has frozen again.

and im crumpling up
those
lines.

the ones with
the words
and the promises you said,
and the

lies.

and im walking down
that old street
again,
the one i said
id never
betray.

with those footsteps,

the skips.

with those shoes
you bought me
that day.

but then
those leaves
fall,
with the color
of your eyes.

that burned
on those mornings
under the
poster
sun.

under that smoke,
that sand.

from my
lips,
and my
skin.

that you left there,
behind.

you said youd call
early
this time.

i believed you again.

how foolish am i?
how lonesome am i?

have i forgotten again?

that skip
in your step.

that move in your pulse.
under bottles
and blankets

that broken tooth smile
on white spoiled lips

that kissed mine.

so tenderly.

on those evenings
on
the street.

those evenings
under
fluorescent lights
that streamed.

silently
through
my eyes.

that spoke to me.

under guttered shoes
and broken street signs

that all pointed to you.

those birds
that flew
from the telephone lines
that all told me

i

should

run.
